Four principles that define how we work.

01

Plan first, build second

Every site begins with a detailed job hazard analysis reviewed by trade foremen and our in-house safety director before work commences.

02

Empowered to stop work

Any worker on a BlueStone site, at any level or trade, has the authority and strict obligation to halt operations when unsafe conditions arise.

03

Daily site planning

Mandatory stretch-and-flex exercises, toolbox talks, and pre-task safety planning happen every single morning on every site we operate.

04

Transparent measurement

Both leading and lagging safety metrics are analyzed and published internally weekly, ensuring complete transparency and continuous learning.

Protocol

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Policy

We translate our safety principles into specific, daily on-site action protocols. These standards ensure our workplaces remain safe, clean, and efficient.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We enforce 100% compliance with ANSI-rated hard hats, high-visibility vest systems, steel-toe footwear, and protective eyewear across the entire perimeter of all active sites.

Fall Prevention Systems

Any task performed at a height of six feet or greater requires secondary active fall arrest harnesses, certified anchor points, and daily inspections of scaffolding rigs.

Hazard Communication & Signage

All chemicals, hazardous materials, and high-voltage zones are clearly demarcated with safety data sheets (SDS) and visible multilingual warning placards.

Site Perimeter Integrity

Secure entry gates, continuous security fencing, and digital check-ins ensure that unauthorized individuals cannot access active construction zones under any circumstance.

Competence

Continuous Training & Certifications

Safety is a skill that must be constantly practiced and updated. We invest extensively in safety certifications, testing, and continuous field observation.

OSHA 10 & 30 Training

Every field laborer must hold a valid OSHA 10 certification, while all site engineers, project managers, and supervisors are required to complete the comprehensive OSHA 30 course.

First Aid & CPR Preparedness

At least 50% of the active workforce on any shifts must maintain current Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, supported by fully stocked emergency trauma stations.

Continuous Field Audits

Our dedicated safety director conducts unannounced site audits weekly, scoring layouts, checking equipment calibration, and testing emergency communication systems.
